In a surprising turn of events, some Liberal Democrat members of the Rutland County Council cabinet disagreed with their own proposal and voted against it.
This proposal, if passed, would have secured funding for Catmose Sports Centre and prevented its closure.
As the meeting came to an end, several members of the public cried out saying: “You should be ashamed of yourselves”, as well as “You’re an embarrassment to the county”.
the next meeting will be the Annual Council meeting on Monday, May 20, 2024. I wonder if we will see aa change of leadership and cabinet after this shambolic month at Rutland County Council.
