Maidenhead Aquatics on the move to Gates Nurseries Ex Mayor suggests thanks to Rutland Council for the demise of Ashwell

Maidenhead Aquatics on the move to Gates Nurseries Ex Mayor suggests thanks to Rutland Council for the demise of Ashwell.

GrumpyJag AKA ex Oakham Mayor Jim Harrison on Oakham People suggests Rutland County Council
is to blame for the demise of Ashwell. Don't be silly Jim, I am sure Tory Councillor Gene Plews has added
that to his deluded list of what he claims are my vast achievements. Which include the "Destruction of Oakham"  ?

As you can see from Jim's comment below, he could be singing from the same song sheet as the anti corruption group. They also accuse Rutland County Council of lacking vision when it comes to the
future of Ashwell.

I don't know if the move from Ashwell by the Maidenhead Aquatics has anything to do with Rutland County Council.

The owners of Ashwell (Rutland Village / Rutland Garden Centre) have been attempting to sell up for over a year now wanting to retire. Rutland County Council as far as I can see have not obstructed that prospect, they approved a expansion plan. This of course could help any sale. Could it be the uncertain future of the site that leads business's to relocate?

Comment from Oakham People:

Think you have Rutland Council to thank for the demise of Ashwell. There was so much promise and so little vision from some of the councillors, some of whom are no longer in residence at the council thank goodness
