Oakham Town Council are orgainsing a replacement mural which
will be installed on the property of the Co-operative Funeral Shop.
What annoys me about this project was when the first mural was
removed from their wall, we read in the paper that they were
going to fund a replacement. Now it seems they are only willing
to part fund the project estimated to cost £12,000 a lot of
money to decorate their wall with something most people probably
don't want. I can not find a single person who misses the old mural.
It's been down so long I have personlly got used to the clean plain
wall. The old was often repaired after being vandalised or having
the grafitti removed.
