Neighbourhood Plan Oakham Town Council Vote To Start Work On The Plan
Oakham Town Council voted for the setting up of a steering group made up
of residents who have express and interest.
The appointed the Chairman of the council whoever that will be, when the committee
starts work next year.
Cllr Michael Haley was appointed.
Oakham Town Partnership will be asked to appoint a member, I am not sure why
they deserve priority over any other group in our community, I guess the steering
group might require an events organiser.
I suggest a Oakham Rutland County Councillor for Oakham could be appointed
this was not considered.
I put my name forward and was pleased to actually get some decent support for
a change but that motion unfortunately fell.
The steering group will not be chaired by a Oakham Town Councillor.
