New Local Policing Commander for Rutland Inspector Lou Cordiner
will become the new Commander of Rutland Local Policing Unit (LPU) from Monday 17 June 2013. She replaces Inspector Kam Mistry, who is moving to Force Headquarters to work in the Contact Management Department.
Inspector Cordiner joined the Force in 1993. She has served the past four years as the commander of the Tactical Dogs and Firearms Unit at Force Headquarters. From 2007 to 2009 she was a Force Control Room Inspector, commanding the police response to incidents in progress.
In addition, she has performed a variety of different roles across the Force including serving as Detective Inspector for series and acquisitive crime, heading up Operation Target tackling the priority and prolific offenders who commit a disproportionate number of crimes; and as an Operational Command Inspector directing day-to-day operations across the Force area.
Inspector Cordiner said: “I plan to build on the good work and many strong partnerships that already exist across the county of Rutland.”
“Targeting the small number of people who cause the most misery in our communities is central to reducing crime; I will work with Rutland’s local Safer Neighbourhood Teams to achieve that end.”
“Together, we can ensure that the county of Rutland continues to be a safe place to work, live and to visit.”
