Oakham Town Councillor Alf Dewis Turning Cutts Close into cheap grave yard for his family

Oakham  Town Councillor Alf  Dewis Turning Cutts Close into cheap grave yard for his family

last year Cllr Alf Dewis former Oakham Mayor and Chairman of Oakham Town Partnership sold
off the remaining 2012 Jubilee Oaks to Oakham Town Council. These have been planted in Cutts
Close Oakham against the wishes of the then tree warden Cllr Joyce Lucas. she said "Oak Trees are not suitable for Oakham" before her resignation as tree warden she also accussed Rutland County Council of stripping the town naked of trees using John Street Bus shelter works as an example.

Cllr Dewis purchased one of the trees for £60 this was planted at considerable cost for the tax payer.
planting and english heritage cost for the one tree amounted to three times the cost of the tree.

Rutland County Council standards say he has done nothing wrong.

The tax payer paid a considerable sum towards his families memorial.

A elderly resident seeing the flowers yesterday said how sad who has been killed.

Fortunatley no one has been killed it's just Cllr Dewis doing something on the cheap
Cutts Close is not a grave yard and I hope Oakham Town Council remove the flowers
soon.
