Oakham Castle Wall Rutland
Oakham Castle will be officially re-opening this bank holiday Monday.
Some works will not be completed in time.
This includes the road leading to the castle gates due to Western Power
works, to sort out their old cables.
The wall and the new steps won't be completed in time.
The Grand Hall will be looking good.
Rutland County Council has asked the contractors to move its temporary
office into the Burley Road car park, a loss of ten parking spaces.
Rutland County Council is claiming the loss of income from the Lottery
money. I not sure that is why people buy lottery tickets.
