The unelected committee Oakham Town Partnership made up of mainly
councillors with Oakham Town Council have created information points
in Rutland to attact visitors into Oakham.

The arial photograph is great, I am guessing it was taken over ten years
ago, so it shows a different Oakham than we see today.

The information on historic parts of Oakham is very limited and contains errors
like incorrectly describing Rutland County Council offices as a former stately home,
Catmose was a hunting lodge of the Noel family

The ugly concrete slabs!

The Public toilets which Cllr Lucas claims are the best in the UK
get a good mention, not built at the time the phtograph was taken

Last week I needed to use them and found the mens stunk and
the ugly blue urinal was dirty and inside and out the waste pipe
looked as if it has never been cleaned.

They forget to mention the elctric car charing point which stands
awaiting use.

I am not sure the Archdeacon built the work house or any
of the buildings currently used by the school.

The old school building can be found in the church yard through
church passage and around the corner.
