Cutts Close Oakham before it fills with people who enjoy the
park, it is a shame some seekers leave a trail of litter behind.
The Town Council is currently displaying posters in its Gaol
Street notice board. Poster created by school children from
the Knights School have created anti litter poster.
I think these posters should have been displayed in the park.
The Flower and Plant Stall always looks so good
The Fresh Fruit and Vegetables always look so much better on
a sunny day.
Oakham in Bloom Flowers looking good.
Sad to hear Chris is not well and going into hospital.
Rutland County Council are disgusting for neglecting our town
and county in the way they do. Chris and his wife spent much
longer than I or anyone else did clearing the town of weeds
the other week. Chris and his wife are the people in our community
who deserve awards not the hangers on like Cllr Lucas BEM
If Oakham does win a in Bloom award she will be the first to
pick up the award and smile along with the Mayor of Oakham
who does nothing accept listen in his own words to "mindless
outside influences"
The entrance to Rutland County Council is currently looking
just as bad as many places in the county.

The shop just opened sells men's clothes along the ladies, I assume the clothes are
for men and not drag kings? The name chosen for the shop is slightly confusing.
The PR assistant outside is not very helpful and her hair certainly needs some attention
from Harper's Salon a few doors up :-)

Everlasting Now Church Street Oakham Rutland Closing Down
Everlasting Now Church Street Oakham Rutland Closing Down
Everlasting Now Junk and collectibles and Coffee is closing down.
Everlasting took over the lease after Beans closed a few years ago
after the Pizza Shop next door caught fire.
Beans was always very busy during term time, the customers mainly
from Oakham School.
Unfortunately for Everlasting now it never looked as busy, perhaps
the young people did not desire to sit among the junk.
The window displays always showed something interesting and on
occasion a bit high risk, like the Rolf Harris item.
The owner was not that bad, I wish her well with whatever her
next project is.

Good to see the building vacated by Calico has been restored
and back in use.
The whole building is now used including the basement.
A conservatory has been added at the rear, leaving room
for patio seating.
The refurbishment looks good.
The welcome from the local staff is also good.
I am told if you register via the website there is a chance to
obtain some free opening deals.
