The Clerk refuses to let members save tax payers money.
Since 2011 the localism act has permitted members to opt to receive all summons
and agenda's via email. Despite many request to take up this right Oakham Town Councils
Clerk refuses to accept my request. Once again proving that Oakham Town Council does not
think laws apply to them.
Above are all the agendas and documents Oakham Town Council has sent
out to me over the last two years. Unlike our last Chairman Adam Lowe
I don't tear them up at the end of a meeting. In my role as Cllr I often
find the need to look back at what was considered at our meetings.
The main reason I have to keep these is because OTC do not publish any
reports online and there is no minutes or agenda archive published.
If I ask as a Councillor to visit the office to see anything those request
are met by constant obstruction.
I do wish OTC would publish all the agenda reports on-lne and permit
us access to the internet at the council and permit laptops on the council
chamber table. Last year the council banned all recording devices from
the council chamber table.
I also wish the council would recognise Cllr rights and it would save
the tax payers of Oakham a fortune.

Dear Members
The Chairman regrets calling another Extraordinary meeting so quickly, however he is mindful that we need to get the Office Assistant process underway.
Please find attached an Agenda. A hard copy was posted out tonight, however I am still awaiting some information for the report. Once I have received this, I will email and post to you appendix a.
Regards
