Oakham Town Council welcome McDonald's Plan to build a new outlet here in Oakham.

Oakham Town Council were not able to issue copies of the monthly statement of accounts and for some unknown reason exempted the item and not explained why before kicking out the public.
Once again abusing the power to exempt items.

I am told the town council will be issuing a statement but no date or time was given.

The Chairman of the council Dave Romney said we will be told at the reason will be given at the next meeting.

Oakham Town Council does not have many legal obligations, approving the accounts is just one of them and lately they don't seem to get that right
.
The clerk is now continually presenting the statement of accounts late.

The Council spent a fortune on accounts software designed by a good former Clerk to make parish council accounting simple, it never appears to be the case at Oakham Town  Council.
