A MEETING OF OAKHAM TOWN COUNCIL’S STAFFING COMMITTEE
MONDAY 19TH OCTOBER 2015 AT 7.00PM

1. APOLOGIES – Standing Order 1(u)
(i) To receive apologies for absence
(ii) To decide whether to approve apologies for absence

2. MINUTES (Appendix A)
To approve the minutes of the meeting of the Staffing Committee held on Monday 10th August
2015

3. DECLARATIONS OF INTEREST
Members are asked to declare, if required:
(i) Any Disclosable Pecuniary Interest they may have in respect to items on the agenda
(ii) Any other interest they may have in respect to items on the agenda

4. DEPUTATIONS BY THE PUBLIC
Members of the Public are invited to address the meeting in accordance with the procedures laid
down in Standing Orders 1(d) – 1(i)

5. APPOINTMENT OF CONSULTANTS
To discuss the appointment of consultants to provide HR advice and to agree on any
recommendations to be made to Council

6. EXEMPT ITEMS
To decide whether to exclude the Public and Press during considerations of Items 7,8 and 9 on
the agenda, under Section 100 (2) of the Local Government Act 1972, as amended due to the
confidential nature of the matters to be discussed

7. APPRAISAL OF ASSISTANT CLERK (Appendix B – Targets and Objectives)
To discuss the recent appraisal of the Assistant Clerk and to agree on any recommendations to
be made to the Council relating to it

8. APPRAISAL OF CLERK (Appendix C – Targets and Objectives)
To discuss the recent appraisal of the Clerk and to agree on any recommendations to be made to
the Council relating to it

9. ABSENCE THROUGH ILL HEALTH TO 30TH SEPTEMBER 2015 (Appendix D)
To receive a report relating to absence through ill health of the employed Staff and to agree
whether any recommendations relating to the report should be made to the Council
