Oakham in Bloom is Looking For an Auditor?
I find it extraordinary that a local organisation is appealing for an auditor via the
local paper.
Oakham in Bloom has over the years handled thousands of pounds of public
mostly dished out to them by Oakham Town Council.
Cllr Maureen Dodds has stood down as chairman and appears in the paper
because the group has made her president.
The Town Council has a legal responsibility to ensure the accounts of those
groups it supports keeps their accounts in order.
Cllr Maureen Dodds has been to ill to attend council meeting for over seven
months now.
To ill to serve her ward, but not to ill to attend event week after week

I hope Cllr Dodds has not given away public money like she did the carnival fund.
Legal advice given to Oakham Town Council said there was nothing they can
do to reclaim the public money because, they gave it away without any conditions
attached to it.
