Today, Glo Hair Studio moved into its new premises at Flores House, The High Street, Oakham, Rutland. The move marks a new chapter for the oldest building in Oakham, which has been empty and neglected for many years.
Flores House is a Grade II listed building dating back to the 16th century. The building has a rich history, having been used as a private residence, a coaching inn, and even a police station over the centuries.
In recent years, however, Flores House has fallen into disrepair. It has been empty for several years, and its condition has deteriorated. The new owners of Glo Hair Studio have invested heavily in restoring the building to its former glory. They have repaired the roof, restored the windows, and redecorated the interior.
The result is a stunning new hair salon that is both stylish and historic. The original features of the building have been preserved. The salon is also equipped with the latest hairdressing equipment and technology.
The move of Glo Hair Studio to Flores House is a welcome boost for Oakham town centre. It is good to see this historic building back in use and looking its best.
