Paul Wenlock Fraud & Financial Investigation Manager Leicestershire Police Letter a Poor Day For Democracy

Paul Wenlock Fraud & Financial Investigation Manager Leicestershire Police Letter a Poor Day For Democracy

Oakham Town Council's was correct when he said "English Law Does Not Apply To Us"

Us being Oakham Town Council.

After an three co-options at which Oakham Town Council broke local government laws
I attempted to find out who enforces the laws.

I soon found out it is the responsibility of Leicestershire Police.

All enforcement of Local Government Laws and Election Laws were now no longer
the responsibility of one constable. Leicestershire Police have transferred all responsibility
to their Fraud and Financial Investigation Unit. That sounded promising until I quickly received
a response from Paul Wenlock the same officer who let Cllr and Master Mason John Nowell of
the hook when his family were investigated for attempting to fraudulently obtain a grant from
Oakham Town Council. Cllr Nowell valiantly blamed his wife so Mr Wenlocks team decided
no further action was required. The Council then banned Councillors and their families from
claiming grants.

In his first letter Mr Wenlock stated he had spoken to Oakham Town Council and they had
told him they had not broken the law so he felt there was nothing to investigate.

I responded by pointing the Council has admitted in writing the had broken the law.

There is video evidence.

He has since replied letter shown below it appears Leicestershire Police has no money
or resources to enforce or investigate breaches of the local government acts. Very worrying.

I assume this will give Oakham Town Council the green light to continue to ignore
laws?
