Neil Wedge has been appointed as Uppingham Town Clerk. Town Council Set To Lose,
Quality Council Award?
I am told Uppingham Town Council has completed the lengthy and drawn out process taking over 3 months to resolve and employed a new Unqualified Clerk
A source tells me:
I'm confident that Mr Ron Simpson (aka Mr Uppingham) who got himself on the interview panel will have strongly influenced the Morris Dancer and the other muppets who comprised the interview panel.
Uppingham will now lose "Quality Council" status once the current Clerk retires in March 2015, as they need a qualified Clerk to maintain the award.
I understand Uppingham is the only parish in Rutland to hold that Award.

He is also a member of Uppingham Cricket Club
He was a Olympic torchbearer, Neil Wedge because he helped to raise £400,000 to build a new cricket ground in in Uppingham
Uppingham Cricket Club in the past has received a lot of tax payers money from
both Rutland County Council and Uppingham Town Council, Now one of their
main men is working for the Town Council the law will prevent the Town Council
from issuing grants to the club.
But then this never stopped Roger Begy's Rutland County Council supporting
the club when his son was captain.
He also runs Rutland Squash Club
