Detectives investigating a serious assault on two men in a Leicester pub have released a new CCTV image of a man they would like to identify and trace in connection with the incident.
The incident took place at about 12.40am on Tuesday October 25 at the Rainbow and Dove Public House in Charles Street when two men received serious burn injuries.
One of the victims, Russell Banks (21), remains in Nottingham City Hospital in a stable condition.  The second victim, Robert Laszewsk (20) was discharged from hospital on Wednesday November 2.
Two men, aged 28 and 20, have been arrested in connection with the incident and released on police bail pending further enquiries.

Detective Inspector Simon Preston is overseeing the investigation, he said:  “Detectives have been studying a number of hours of CCTV footage from the area and we now believe that the man who was seen outside the Rainbow and Dove shortly after the incident may have travelled via taxi to Nottingham city centre.
“It’s believed that the man travelled to the Upper Parliament Street area of Nottingham and may have arrived there around 1.15am on Tuesday October 25.

“Did you see this man in Nottingham city centre during the early hours of Tuesday October 25 or do you recognise him?

“A £5,000 reward has been offered for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person responsible for this incident and we are hoping this will encourage people to come forward with information.
“Last week we issued CCTV footage of a man running away from the scene shortly after the incident, this man may have burn injuries.  We are still appealing to anyone who has treated someone for burn injuries around October 25 or knows someone who has received similar injuries to contact us.”
Anyone with any information is asked to contact DS 1152 John Farndon on 101*, follow the instructions to leave a message for a police officer and when prompted key in the officer’s identification number 1152 or contact Crimestoppers, which is free** and anonymous, on 0800 555 111.
* Calls to 101 cost 15pm for the entire call from both mobile ‘phones and landlines.
** Please note, some mobile ‘phone service providers may charge for this call.
