Some Cllrs did appear a little surprised that a party in the park was suggested. The request to party was toned down to Proms in the park with the later addition of supporting a good cause.

The evening will start from 6.30pm and will feature light hearted war themes, the 1812 Overture and traditional proms night favourites including Jerusalem and Land of Hope and Glory with a promised explosive finish!

The Rutland Concert Band will be joined on the evening by guest vocalist Caroline Trutz.
The Lions Club of Rutland will be operating a catering pay tent but you are more than welcome to bring your own refreshments, gazebos and chairs and of course, Union Jacks.
