£70k loan to be repaid over 2 years, was agreed by Rutland County Council
Rutland agricultural society will be charged at 2% of the loan,
The Society will be using the money to expand and improve their car park provision.
Lets hope they get more than a path with that £70,000
Rutland County Councillor and Oakham Mayor Adam Lowe knows £70,000 will only buy
you a small new path especially if you don't get more than one quote and ignore European
procurement laws. When I as a member of the town council pointed this out to the council
Cllr Lowe proceeded to create a presentation of lies on the big screen to persuade the rest
of the council to pay the bill. He stated that the European Procurement Law did not apply to
Oakham Town Council.
I can't wait to see his response to the external auditor when I and another member of the public
object to this payment.
I am also challenging the legality of the spend based on where the money came from.
The money was spent from money received via Rutland County Council from the developer
Hawksmead, the condition attached to the money was it be spent on encouraging visits to Oakham by residents from the new Oakham North West development. I am sure they are all flocking to Oakham
to see the replaced formally neglected footpath in Cutts Close?
It is no surprise Rutland County Council does not know what it should do with the £250k Brexit
Money it has received from central government, when it is run by Councillors like Adam Lowe.
This post should see another entry on Cllr Lowes newly created facebook page.
He emailed me and all other members of the council to inform me he has created a page
to ridicule me for being critical of him and Oakham Town Council.
The man is a big lousy bully and is not fit to be Mayor of Oakham let alone my Rutland County Councillor.
