Rutland County Council Set to Freeze Council Tax and Inflict Further Cuts

Rutland County Councillor Conservative and Leader Roger Begy

Residents in Rutland are set to have their council tax frozen for the fourth year running,
as instructed by central government in return for grants equivalent to a 1% increase.

The Tories have not increased your council tax since the last election.
They have achieved this all by slashing funding of charities and other
community groups, getting rid of staff and the government grant.

They purchased a prison held a séance and saved the Ministry of
Justice a fortune by carrying out and paying for demolition of the
largest buildings they did not want.

They have made costly mistakes with the swimming pool.

Destroyed  Barleythorpe Hall, so badly neglected and losing the tax payer millions.

Roger Begy failed in his role as chairman of Sparse to obtain greater funding
for small Tory Councils. He claims on the Radio News ministers are still listening to him
along with another 60 MP's he describes the membership of Sparse as small and
based on quality rather than quantity. I would describe it like the bargain trolley
at Tesco full of broken bashed up useless products and whatever label is put on them
no one wants them.

Ministers 'grossly misleading' over rural grant

Roger Begys Tory Council is proposing another savage round
of cuts to what he describes a backline services.

These including cutting library opening hours and transport
for children with special needs.
