Rutland County Council and Oakham Town Council appalling disregard for memorials.
The tree with the bench was planted in memory of a pupil
of the former Vale of Catmose College that tree and
many other healthy trees were destroyed by Linden Homes.
More recently the Lady Ruddle Tree was killed of by Bellway
homes, despite repeated requests Oakham Town Councillor
and Tree Warden Joyce Lucas refused to ID the tree when
I made requests.
This memorial bench was stolen after Rutland County College
Closed.
The Memorial stone for Dr Terry Whelan of Rutland Sixth
Form College was on the same site. The contractor said
it has been put some where safe.
