The sun shone brightly over the Rutland Showground yesterday as the Rutland County Show marked its 190th anniversary in grand style. Thousands of visitors flocked to the event, eager to experience the best of rural life.

The traditional elements that have made the Rutland County Show a mainstay for nearly two centuries were all present. From thrilling motorbike displays that left the crowds in awe to the adorable antics of the dog agility competition, there was something for everyone to enjoy.

A highlight of the day was the 190th-anniversary celebration. To mark this momentous occasion, the chairman and president of the Rutland Agricultural Society jointly cut a magnificent cake. 

The 190th Rutland County Show was a resounding success, solidifying its place as a beloved tradition in the heart of the community. Here's to many more years of celebrating agriculture, rural life, and perhaps, some more truly splendid cake!
