Rutland Hippos Five Years On Enjoying Life in Captivity
A dreadful waste of public money back in 2010
Fortunately here in Rutland unlike many other
parts of the Country people were willow to give
the fibreglass animals a good home.
Many towns who supported the project had
to pay for the disposal and in some cases the
poor artists footed the bill.
Repeating media criticism earned me a life
time ban from Arts Committees here in Rutland
so every time I see one of these plastic monstrosities
it is never to pleasing.
The three above have a home at the Church of
England Primary School Burley Road Oakham.
As for Arts and Culture these days most of it is dead
here in Rutland.
