Rutland took part in a nationwide celebration of Commonwealth Day today as 500 flags were raised simultaneously across the country, Official Photographs here in oakham were Photobombed by Alan D.
the dog.

Rutland County Councils Chairman,  Mrs Charlotte L Vernon (Con) read a message from the Queen, some people could not hear the message and one man made a loud comment saying "what was that? we could not hear"

Council Parking Enforcement Officer, CEO (Con) Helen Briggs
and Chris Communications Officer.

The flag was raised by a council employee. Chris the council communications officer attempted to
take a official photograph, all his attempts were stopped by Alan D. the dog who photobombed.

The flag was taken down and Dignitaries retreated to a now locked council chamber for a official
photograph.

Now this door to the Chamber is locked I wonder how the council
is complying with fire regulations?

Alan D. The Dog is a gay rights activist for Rutland LGBT People and
will be popping up at council meetings and events until there is signification change.

No public attended the event. Good job to we would not want
anyone complaining like Nigel did about the dirty Conservative
Leader Roger Begy. He was hounded by Cllr Haworth and Co
on the Rutland Chat Forum run by the council for that complaint.
