Rutland's Police and Crime Commissioner (PCC), Rupert Matthews, has announced the allocation of £75,000 to support initiatives aimed at protecting young women and girls from sexual violence.

Rutland's Police and Crime Commissioner (PCC), Rupert Matthews, has announced the allocation of £75,000 to support initiatives aimed at protecting young women and girls from sexual violence.

The funding will be used to provide training, support, and guidance to community-based groups, grassroots organisations, charities, sports clubs, and youth clubs. The goal is to equip these organisations with the necessary tools to identify and address issues of sexual violence within their communities.

PCC Matthews acknowledged the increasing prevalence of sexual violence, particularly in the digital age, and emphasised the importance of offering more support to victims. He encouraged groups interested in applying for the training package to contact him by October 14th.

This initiative demonstrates Rutland's commitment to safeguarding young women and girls and creating a safer environment for all.
