Writing an email can be a calm and safe way to work through what's on your mind. Especially if it feels too upsetting to talk about on the phone.

Samaritans volunteers answer each email that comes through to jo@samaritans.org.

You don't have to be suicidal to get in touch – nearly half of the emails we receive are from people who are having a tough time, but not suicidal.

Sometimes people worry they can't write well – no matter your spelling, punctuation or how you express yourself, we're here.

Samaritans, How we can help you?

http://www.samaritans.org/how-we-can-help-you/contact-us

A friend of mine died this week, he worked for United Airlines, Inc.
and seemed happy.

At his family farm in Brazil he took his own life.

It's hard to understand why? Hamilton attempted to hang himself
in the same place his father did, that failed so he shot himself in the head.

First I felt sad, then anger, suicide is selfish, then I discussed with another friend
and we decided he was unwell.
