Kicks off with live music in the market place Saturday night from 7pm,
Performances, food court, funfair, vintage cars and bikes and more through Sunday after the opening at 10am till 4pm, and a special service in St Johns Church at 6pm on Sunday night.
The second of two sheep auctions takes place on Monday 4th October.
It's the 783rd sheep fair, believed to be the oldest sheep fair in the country.
