Its hard to believe Stevenage Hertfordshire was a town centre people used to queue for the thousands of car park spaces to visit the town and doing some shopping. A project to demolish most of the original new town buildings has started. Filling car parks with rubble. Swingate house fell down before it was demolished. They are replacing them with smaller shop units and apartments instead of large shops offices. Lots of the town centre bars have closed, even McDonalds has closed its town centre outlet.
