Support for people living in Rutland
If you are struggling to pay your council tax or experiencing financial difficulties because of the COVID-19 pandemic, we have a range of support available to help you.
Council tax
We know that everyone will have received their council tax bill for 2020/21 recently.
If your household income has been affected by the COVID-19 pandemic, you can apply for help pay your council tax - you can find out more about the help we've made available on our help with council tax page.
If you already get support with paying your council tax and have been affected by COVID-19, we may be able to offer you further help through our discretionary fund - find out more about this on our council tax support reduction scheme page.
We'll be making more funding available to support people facing hardship, and anyone affected can apply for support.

Hardship fund
We already have a special fund set up for anyone who is struggling due to sudden financial hardship.
Our crisis support fund policy gives you more detail about this. We can help by providing goods like cookers, vouchers for furniture or vouchers for the local foodbank.
Citizens Advice Rutland manage all financial crisis support applications on our behalf, and we are increasing the amount of support available to them.
