The Broadway Cinema, Letchworth Garden City, Hertfordshire

There was a time when people used to line up down the road to see a film at this cinema. The longest wait I ever saw was for the film Grease, my sister saw it four or five times!

There used to be another cinema next door the Palace, sadly knocked down, for a branch of W H Smith Do It All. (focus). Not a welcome development to Letchworth, at that time the Garden City Corporation were not always good at preserving the heritage. The are now as they purchased this Cinema to preserve it.
