The Royal Oakham owners told me since they have banned Cllr Stephenson from their
pub they have been harassed by Rutland County Council.

The owner of the pub alleges Cllr Stephenson drinks a little to much. She also
phones them and claims to be "a special agent"

I notice at this weeks Development Control and Licensing Committee planning
officers are seeking an enforcement order.

The Royal Oak owners are receiving prolonged attention from Rutland County
Councils planning department no wonder it continues to be the worst performing
department at the council.

Since when has it been unlawful to display A boards in Rutland here in Oakham
we have been walking into them along Oakham High Street for years even
Oakham Town Council puts one out.

Out of a list of complaints from one unknown person the Conservation Officer
is seeking enforcement relating to a gate.

I find this section of the report interesting:

4.4 To the extent that the Human Rights Act might be engaged, it is considered that
the enforcement action proposed is a proportionate and justified response to the
harm caused to legitimate public interest by the unauthorised development.

Public interest?

This is contradicted in the risk assessment section:

There is one complainant and the Council is not aware of concern from others.

I wonder how much this vendetta is going to cost the tax payer?
