Apologies for confusing the previous owners

Dear Mr Brookes,

My attention has just been drawn to your posting on your blog of March 7th about the Shires acquiring the Hayne in Oakham to use as a new boarding house.

You seem to have been badly informed or careless in your research. You have mistakenly identified Wilds Lodge School as the previous owner of this building. In fact it belonged to the Grange Therapeutic School at Knossington for about twenty years and Wilds Lodge has never had any connection with it in any shape or form. It was also one of the Grange's staff that was convicted child pornography a few years ago and not one of ours, as you incorrectly state. You will have to contact the head there to see whether this was the reason for the closure of the Hayne. I suspect that it was not.

Yours sincerely,

Robin Lee
Principal - Wilds Lodge School
