The unfriendly face of Sainsburys Oakham Rutland Tree Massacre

The unfriendly face of Sainsburys Oakham Rutland Tree Massacre

This nice man wearing Sainsbury high visibilty gear, kept obstucting on the public
highway, he objected to me photographing the many healthy trees Sainsburys
have destroyed here in Oakham over the past few days.

He did not seem to mind me photgraphing his staff laughing.

One asked if I was Mr Green Peace? Well I have been called worse
by Town Councillors so I won't complain about that.

Now where is our Green Party Councillor Marc Oxley when you need him?
No relation to the Sainsbury Mr Oxley in charge of this exciting new store
development. Which I am not against, but I like many are concerned by
the large loss of trees.

As I photograph future building progress from the public highway I do hope
the supervisor of those works is a little more friendly.

I would say he was a poor supervisor and his apparent concerns
for health and safety were very selective, a member of the public
who is also upset by the huge loss of trees asked me to photograph
staff using mobile phones whilst walking behind moving machines.
I think this one over heard the request because he looked at me when I took
the photo.

I wonder if this devastion is the reason behind Cllr Lucas's reason for resigning
as the towns tree warden?

She and the other ward Councillor Homphobic Crude and Crass Haworth
should both resign, for years they have neglected thier ward and spent far to
much time attempting to falsely send thier critics to prison.

Leicestershire Police based in Oakham congratulated Sainsburys
via Twitter.

@SainsburysPR great to see work has started at the old college site. How long does it usually take to build a shop that size? Joe

Large numbers of mature healthy trees are being destroyed in the grounds of Lonsdale House.
