This World AIDS Day join in solidarity by wearing red ribbons.

This World AIDS Day join in solidarity by wearing red ribbons.

Wear It ribbon
This World AIDS Day we are asking people to join us in solidarity by wearing their red ribbons.
Since 1988, it’s been an opportunity to raise awareness, lend support and remember those who have been lost.
If you’re in London, the south east or Glasgow you may have seen our posters on tubes and trains, or even on the big screen in Brighton station. You may also have seen our campaign online on social media, Care2 or other websites.
To donate £1 and receive your free red ribbon, text RIBBON to 70707.

Terms and conditions

If you wish to discuss this mobile payment please call 020 3282 7863 to speak to the provider of our text to donate service.
Once we've received your text, we will contact you by phone and SMS to arrange delivery of your ribbon. We’ll tell you a bit more about our work and ask for your support but there’s no obligation to make a donation.
If you do not wish to be contacted in this way, text NOCOMMS THT to 70060.
During the call you will be given the opportunity to update your contact preferences. You can also keep these updated by emailing donations@tht.org.uk or calling 0207 7812 1612. It can take us up to two working days to remove your number from our call list so please accept our apologies if you receive a call in the meantime.
You can also order your ribbon without donating by emailing your details to ribbon@tht.org.uk.
In order for ribbons to arrive before Thursday 1 December they must be posted by Tuesday 29 November.
If we receive your address details after 2pm on Tuesday 29 November we cannot guarantee your red ribbon will arrive for 1 December. Terrence Higgins Trust does not accept responsibility for items lost or delayed in the post.

General information about SMS donations

Text-to-donate is a quick and easy way to donate to Terrence Higgins Trust. If you've already texted a donation, thank you so much. You’re helping to support people living with and affected by HIV.
Terrence Higgins Trust will receive 100 per cent of all text donations! So every penny really does count.
The following campaigns are live until the closing date shown:
  • Text RIBBON to 70123 to give £1 (until 31 December)
  • Text RIBBON to 70060 to give £1 (until 31 December)
  • Text RIBBON to 70080 to give £1 (until 31 December)
  • Text RIBBON to 70444 to give £1 (until 31 December)
  • Text RIBBON to 70707 to give £1 (until 31 December)
Please note if you text after the closing date or you get the keyword or short code wrong when you text, you may still be charged your standard network message charge. You won't be charged the donation as you won't be donating to Terrence Higgins Trust, unless another charity is using that keyword and number combination, in which case you may be charged and donate to them.
You can only donate from a UK mobile phone number. You cannot donate using this service from a mobile phone number from the Republic of Ireland, Channel Islands or Isle of Man.
If you donate using this service from a UK mobile abroad, you may incur additional network charges.
You must obtain permission from the bill payer before sending a text message. You must be 16 years old or over to send a text donation.
There is no limit on the number of times you may make a donation via text but there is a daily limit of £30 on text donations. You will not be able to donate more by text from the same number on the same day, but you may still incur your standard network message charge if you try.
If you would like to donate more to Terrence Higgins Trust you can do so online using your credit or debit card or PayPal.
Your SMS donation may be eligible for Gift Aid. We may contact you on the mobile number you used to give you the opportunity to add Gift Aid to your donation. As part of the ordering process, we may send you a link to a page where you can submit your details. As with any mobile browsing, you may incur charges from your network provider. If we ask you to text those details, then a standard network message charge (based on your service provider rates) will be incurred.

Unsubscribe

If you text-to-donate, you'll receive a reply text message with an option to opt out of further texts or calls and a link to this page. We will automatically send this to you after we receive your initial message, but it may take a few hours for you to receive this reply. If you don’t receive a reply, please call us so that we can look into it. Any repeat texts will result in repeat donations.
