For those of you who haven't been in to Stamford recently, you would not have seen
Walkers have undertaken a complete re-fit downstairs to incorporate Thorntons



The shop is a lot brighter and more spacious and they have made even more room for the cards than before, so if you are in Stamford, do pop in and say hello.

The Witches of Belvoir Castle

Come and meet Tracy Borman at the Stamford Arts Centre this Friday 8th November at 7.30pm as she explores the fascinating and cruel world of the witches of Belvoir Castle. 

The heir of one of England’s great noble families falls suddenly and dangerously ill and it is said witches are to blame. 

The Earl of Rutland’s sons will not be the last to die. Tracy will talk about one of the most notorious witchcraft trials of the 17th century. At its heart was a murderous conspiracy that has remained hidden for almost 400 years.

Tracy studied history and has gone on to work for the Heritage Lottery Fund, The National Archives and English Heritage. 

Tracy is now Chief Executive of the Heritage Education Trust has recently been appointed Interim Chief Curator for Historic Royal Palaces. 

Tracy is a gifted speaker and this promises to be a truly fascinating evening.

Tickets are £8 (£7.50 concessions) and include a glass of wine or soft drink.
