Another new tree was damaged last night.

Some equipment needs maintaining, the wet pour needs repairing along with the large swing.

Oakham Town Council have been aware of the damaged wet pour for months but do nothing
each time the vandals cut out more around the play equipment the bill for repair grows
by hundred of pounds.

The Mayor who is not qualified or insured attempted to fix the large swing. Then we
had to pay for it to be removed.

A piece of adult fitness equipment has a rubber stop missing which is causing damage
to the seat.

This week I have read a risk report provide by Wickstead for all Oakham Town Play areas
the list of jobs that are marked as Medium Risk is many and the council appears to be doing
nothing to correct these safety issues.

If only they put as much effort into sorting this as they do trying to get rid of me for
pointing out these sort of failing then we would not have parks falling apart.

I also read we are breaking the law the report states we should be inspecting the parks
daily to remove dog waste. Now I know why all new play areas are now fenced in because
the law requires it to prevent access by animals such as dogs.
