War Memorial Names Oakham Rutland England
No service is held here in Oakham at the memorial until 2.00pm this afternoon
Each year a few people turn up to remember at 11.00am, personally I find that more meaningful than
the political civic event to be held later today.
The Remembrance Parade will start at 2pm in Market Street ahead of a service at All Saints’ Church at 2.30pm. It will be followed by wreath-laying at the war memorial and the Lord Lieutenant of Rutland, Dr Laurence Howard, will then take the salute at Crown Walk.

On Monday, November 11 a two-minute silence will be observed at Crown Walk, Oakham, and Broad Street, Stamford, at 11am.
