Rutland County Council Planning, Oakham Town Council, Who is He? Former Tory Councillor

If you're ever a Rutland County Councillor, Cabinet member AND a Tory, you can be expected to
be treated the same as everyone else when it comes to planning matters.

Recently an ex Tory Rutland County Councillor submitted a planning application to Rutland County
Council to convert his splendid Georgian town house into an office and holiday let.

This was recently considered at an Oakham Town Council Planning Rubber Stamping Romper School
Meeting

Very clearly a school for the forgetful as not one of his associates declared an interest.

Most amusingly Cllr Lucas questioned "is that not the man who works in a shop in Mill Street?"

But this is expected of such a cosy council made up of such friendly folks as Cllr Charles Haworth, whose
sister just happens to  be PA to Helen Briggs Chief Executive of Rutland County Council and Tory Leader
Roger Begy.

What a happy family.....

You will never guess the partner of the PA. He is big in property throughout Rutland.

Take a peek at the sort of small extension one can expect to bung in the back yard of your fine
Georgian property if you do think about serving on our fine County Council.

A big bird tells me that the Anti Corruption Party have asked the police to investigate the financial
circumstances of this former councillor.

I wonder if he is on the run from April as this is his current home?
