Woodlands Farm will cease home delivering organic veg boxes, Woodland Farm Market dates

With effect from Friday 26th September, Woodlands Farm will cease home delivering organic veg boxes.

Owner Andrew Dennis says:

This decision has been made very reluctantly but despite everyone's best efforts here, for which I am enormously grateful, we've been unable to develop sales to a level which makes continuation of our home delivery service worthwhile.

From a high point of 2,400 boxes delivered in one week before the 2008 recession, a figure we achieved with minimal advertising or marketing, numbers have decreased to around 900 boxes per week despite huge commitment from everyone at Woodlands, significant marketing and sales efforts and some truly creative social media initiatives.

Woodlands will continue as an organic and biodynamic farm. We will continue growing vegetables and farming as normal, and we'll try to ensure we do so in a way which is sensitive to the miracle of the land. The only change is that we'll no longer be home delivering our produce.

I would like to thank you very much for being part of the Woodlands adventure and for all your support. I would also like to thank my wonderful team here who made the home delivery scheme possible, meaningful and so rewarding over the years.

We'll be sending out closing statements and reimbursing all customers should they be in credit. If you have any questions, please phone Rachel on 01205724778 or email rachel@woodlandsfarm.co.uk. Alternatively please email me: andrewdennis@woodlandsfarm.co.uk
