A yellow German post box stands in the Isaac Newton Shopping Centre in Grantham, Lincolnshire, England. The post box is a replica of those used in Germany, and it is painted yellow, which is the traditional color of post boxes in that country.
The post box was presented to Grantham by the mayor of Sankt Augustin, West Germany, in 1977, to commemorate the establishment of the twinship between the two towns. The twinship is a symbol of the friendship and cooperation between Grantham and Sankt Augustin.
