A very brave Kerry speaks to Helen Astle. Warning the report is quite upsetting to watch. I hope these men are caught soon, I can not understand why any man would do this to a young woman.



Leicestershire Police appeal for witnesses following homophobic attack by two men in Oakham, Young Woman Hospitalised.
The young lady is well known locally as an employee at our local Tesco. Earlier this year she took
part with other in Diabetes UK Charity Head Shaving.

I find it shocking and disgraceful men could attack a woman in this way.



Police appeal for witnesses following homophobic assault in Oakham

Police in Oakham are appealing for witnesses after a woman was assaulted by two men while walking home from Oakham town centre after homophobic comments had been made to her.
The incident happened about 1.30am on Sunday August 17, 2014 in Burley Road, Oakham. The victim, a woman in her 20’s, was walking past the car park on Burley Road, near to Oakham town centre, when she became aware of two men behind her. One of the men made a homophobic comment; she was then assaulted resulting in injuries to her face.
The two men are described as white and in their 20’s, both are about 5’7” tall, with one wearing a hooded top and the other having spikey blonde hair.
PC 2226 Mark Barlow from Rutland local police unit who is the investigating officer said:
“This was a nasty assault which resulted in the victim receiving hospital treatment and she has been left badly shaken up.
“If you were in Oakham on Saturday night or the early hours of Sunday morning and you saw these men, or you think you know who they are, please contact us.”
