The weather turned fine for this afternoons performance.

Sadly for the young people, their friends and family outnumbered the public that
turned up for a good performance in Cutts Close today.

The deputy Mayor Cllr Adam Lowe pointed this out in his welcome introduction.
It is lucky he can shout, he needed to as there was no PA system.

I am not sure why the public don't appear to attend events like this organised
by Oakham Town Council. The taxpayer is paying thousands of pounds each
year and hundreds on advertising in the Rutland Times which is alway money
well spent!

Oakham Mayor Alf Dewis his usual walk about and chatted to
some members of the public.

Ice cream was available I prefer to buy mine in Tesco much better
value.

And with the accusation of conspiracy flying around the possible
outbreak of Rutland's First Ice Cream War I would rather avoid
it. None of the issues surrounding the vendors using Cutts Close
is the fault of the vendors it is due to the unprofessional way
Oakham Town Council is run.

CD's were available

Kitchen Coffee van now pays £25 to attend instead of £5
This is currently a standard fee for anyone and is likely to
be reviewed soon. The Council used to charge each person
a different price which was highly unfair.
