The Steam Weekend will take place on August 24th, 25th, and 26th, 2024 at the Nene Valley Railway in Peterborough.

The Steam Weekend will take place on August 24th, 25th, and 26th, 2024 at the Nene Valley Railway in Peterborough.

The event will feature a variety of steam trains, including the A1 No 60163 Tornado, a 21st century steam locomotive. The Tornado will be hauling Mk1 coaching stock and will be running on an intensive timetable.

There will also be a licensed buffet car, a turntable café serving hot and cold food and refreshments, a Wansford shop and second-hand book shop, pump trolley experience rides, and trade stands.

Tickets for the event are priced between £15 and £25.

The Stapleford Railway Open Weekend will take place on August 24th, 25th, and 26th, 2024,

The Stapleford Railway Open Weekend will take place on August 24th, 25th, and 26th, 2024. 

This will be the last public operation of the historic miniature railway in 2024.

Featuring multiple locomotives in steam, the nearly 2-mile line will be operating from 10:00 AM to around 4:30 PM, subject to weather and passenger numbers.   

The event will also include a vintage steam rally, with classic vehicles, tractors, and miniature steam. There will be a classic and vintage caravan rally village open to view, as well as trade, craft, and food outlets, and children's entertainment.

Dogs are welcome on leads on the rally field but unable to carry on trains.

There is free parking in front of the lake, and the admission fee is £5 for adults and £3 for children over 5. Train rides are £3 per trip, and children under 5 ride for free.
