Oakham Mayor's wife Rachael Nealson, has posted on Facebook, what Oakham Town Councillor Adam Lowe did. Why won't he resign it is shocking.

In this case it wasn't even 'banter' gone too far - which would have been bad enough.
What actually happened was he propositioned her and she said 'that is inappropriate and irrelevant to the conversation' and instead of accepting it was a 'no' and stopping, he continued pressuring her. After she made the complaint, he started to threaten her. He trawled through any information he could find about her trying to find anything to hold over her to convince her to drop the complaint (full disclosure - what his extensive search came up with was that she hadn't changed her name on the electoral roll when we got married 4 months before).
I think had he stopped when she asked him to, she'd have felt uncomfortable and cringed but would have laughed it off (I mean, shes gay, significantly younger than him, already has the best wife ever 😜 etc etc), it was him not accepting the no that turned it from an awkward, inappropriate conversation to frightening and intimidating (I'm not really used to Zoe being scared so it was a shock when I came downstairs).
