Last night Oakham Town Council discussed the funding of lighting at Cutts Close Skate Park.
The Council had previously asked the young people to raise some of the funds needed.
Durring the discussion is was shockingly clear the Council seemed to endorse child labour!
Cllr Dewis stood first and said I very disappointed!!
The young people should have worked for the money the police have just handed them money.
Cllr Adam Lowe Disagreed the young people have achieved their aim.
They have done nothing different from the council, they have secured funding.
(I agree, I don't see councillors digging gardens to acquire grants!)
Cllr Lorna Grey was also disappointed it was clear PC Lloyd had directed the young people towards the BCU fund.
Cllr Lucas made a very serious allegation and said the letter that was signed by Children was a fake. It was clearly not written by child.
Cllr Adam Lowe finished by adding the young people had followed instruction and achieved there aim.
It is a great pity Oakham Town Council does not protect the tax payers money it spends.
They hand Joy Everett thousands of pounds of Tax Payers cash for her festival, they hope she will tell them how she is going to spend the cash before the event?
Next year I hope to see her and the committee washing cars in the High Street for our money.
How Corrupt can this council get?
