As a boy I enjoyed my visits to this store and my mother always bought us a gingerbread man, yes we could call them men back then.
I was surprised to see the bakers was still trading and even more surprised to be served by the same
lady and her husband, who have owned the shop for 53 years.
They also sell a huge range of cake decorations.

This shopping centre is partially covered, when it first opened the anchor store was Sainsburys, it was
opened by Prince Phillip.
The Council sold public streets to a insurance company and now Letchworth Heritage Foundation have
purchased the centre.
