Freddie and Amos' charity event for rescue dogs
I am 7 years old, I am doing a charity fun afternoon to raise money for rescue dogs in need for a home. The charity is called Animal Helpline, I have a dog called Amos who was from Animal Helpline Rescue centre in Wansford and we need to help his friends. I have a homework called 'I wonder...' and I chose to do 'I wonder how much money I can raise for charity?'. There is going to be fun games where you can even win a fidget spinner, refreshments, face painting and a tombola. My sister is organising a craft corner and painting competition too. People can also bring donations of towels, blankets, dried dog food, slip leads and dog toys and we will give them to the rescue centre. Please come along if you can and if you can't make it then there is a Just Giving page where you can donate some money. Thank you from Freddie
Price: £1.50 entry

Join us for a fun Treasure Hunt designed especially for children around the beautiful village of Harringworth. To coincide with the Harringworth History Event, the Treasure Hunt will guide families around a few of the historical sites of the village – you never know, you might learn something!
Follow the clues and you’ll discover an ancient burial ground, get up close and personal with a roman coffin, learn about what happened in Harringworth during WW2 and hear about life in the village through the centuries.
It costs £2 per small Treasure Hunter (adults are free) and you’ll be rewarded with some treasure and certificate at the end. The Hunt should take approx 90 minutes to complete. Come along to the Village Hall on Saturday 10th June from 10am-12pm and then from 1.30pm-6pm to enter. Afternoon Tea is available in the Village Hall that afternoon.
