PC Joe Lloyd, Represented Rutland & Leicestershire Police at The Cenotaph on Remembrance Sunday Photograph on steps of 10 Downing Street London

PC Joe Lloyd, Represented Rutland & Leicestershire Police at The Cenotaph on Remembrance Sunday Photograph on steps of 10 Downing Street London

PC Lloyd is the big man on the left, there was a time before Mrs Thatcher moved in, when everyone could
stand and pose at the same door. Something I can remember doing as child and then moving onto Oxford Street and meeting the then Doctor Who Tom Baker and posing outside the Tardis and being rather disappointed because it was empty an police box.

PC Lloyd joined Leicestershire Police in December 2001 having previously served in the Armed Forces.
He started his career in Melton Mowbray where he served in several roles.
In 2007 he joined an Immigration crime team that worked in partnership with the UK Border Agency.
The role has exposed him to multi agency working which which assists in  his role as PBO for Oakham Town.

PC Lloyd is one of a few decent honest officers here in Rutland.

He is well known and popular here in Oakham. The young children at the local special needs school always look forward to his visit at Christmas time, although I think they might not realise who he is.
