Today has been a eventful day. The photograph attached is a man, who assaulted me in Oakham high street today. He claims to be a friend of Jan Fillingham Mayor of Oakham. after he pushed me, he asked me why I was harassing her. He accused me of walking past, her house. (I did not know this was illegal) He said I would never become a Oakham town councillor. He also suggested I was mental deserved all I got and was trying to become mayor. I ask the man to tell me who he was, he refused to tell me. I told him I would report him the police and he told me to tell my friend inspector Monks, Inspector Monks is not my friend and I could not report this incident to the police in Oakham because the police station is closed Monday. I had to go to Leicester and reported the matter at Leicester Police Station and was given the following crime number. NR/00167/10.8
I walked away and took the mans photograph. I will not be intimidated or bullied by these people. I understand the Mayor is ill so I would not harrass her. and I dont expect to be harrassed by people who claim to be her friends
When I arrived at Leicester Job centre, I found I had lost my signing book. I was told I could not sign on with out ID. I could not afford another train ticket this caused me some distress, I think slightly more than normal because of the event befor arriving.
After getting a manager to agree to carry out some security question check I was about to sign and the Job Centre fire alarm was sounded we all had to leave.
After some time I returned signed.
Then it was off to Leicester police station to report the morning event. The police were very helpful and gave me a crime number and will soon be contacting me to take a full statement.
It has been suggested this man is just a OAP, all I can say is yes he is and that is why I could not hit out when he pushed me. Being old doesn't stop him intimidating and bullying people.
