Dear Members
Although I first agreed to next weeks agenda item regarding my appointment. To the Festival Committee. I have checked standing orders and after reading carefully the Rescission of Previous Resolution order, I see we can not just add this item to the agenda. 5 members need to change their minds and write a special resolution, the written notice whereof shall bear the names of at least five members of the Council
before the meeting.
I suggest Cllr Dewis, Cllr Haworth and Cllr Lucas wont have trouble doing this.
If standing orders are not followed then I am afraid the committee is stuck with me and no one from the council will be able to see if the tax payers money is spent correctly.
I think this is another clear example of how the council feels standing orders don't apply to Oakham Town Council.
